Essentials we need to take on every ride

Those who own an e-bike would properly spend most of their life on two wheels. Throughout the course of the working week, they prefer to commute into the offices in pure electric mode. While on alternating days, they enjoy the PAS (pedal-assist system) mode or just use it as a normal bike, with one keeping them fit, and the other just being plain fun.

Therefore, equipping ourselves with some essentials when riding will not only bring convenience, but also happiness.

Winter approaches, rough weather adds harshness to our riding, which harms our exposed skins to some extent. Therefore, it is necessary to take in some essentials to protect ourselves.

Here we got a list of the best bike accessories and gadgets that are right for any e-biker or cyclist.

  1. Bike Helmet

The helmet is the first thing you should get if you are into cycling.

Helmet is effective in reducing head injuries -- Wearing a helmet helps to reduce the impact of an accident on your head. While riding your two-wheeler, it is very likely that if you are involved in an accident, then the resulting head injuries can be fatal, if you are not wearing a helmet. If you face a collision without wearing a helmet, it might cause external as well as internal brain injuries, which can cost your life. Thus, you should wear helmets to protect your life. And it is observed that wearing a helmet improves your attention while riding your bike. You tend to be more cautious and control your speed when wearing a helmet while driving your two-wheeler. This lowers the chances of an accident to a great extent.

  1. Gloves

Gloves are basic equipment for your electric bike: protect your hands from scrapes, wind, weather, and bugs.

Hand numbness is an ailment that many cyclists experience which occurs when excess pressure occurs on the two primary body nerves, the ulna, and median. When the palm grasps the handlebars too much weight is put on it, hence the cause of numbness.

Everyone has their preference when cycling; some wear gloves while others never. Many riders try multiple pairs of glove designs before finding the right fit that makes them comfortable and avoids numbness.

Why should we wear gloves when e-biking?

Riding on open roads has risks of getting into an accident, and nobody would want that to happen. During a crash, quite often the reflex action tends to make you stick the hand out to break the fall. Gloves assist you to avoid cuts and bruises when this happens.

Warm and humid conditions make the hands sweaty, and you can slip around the handlebars comfortably. Gloves help soak up the sweat, the hands stay dry, and you maintain a firm grip on the handlebars every time.

  1. Bicycle Glasses

Not only will they make it easier to see where you’re going, they’ll save your eyeballs from unexpected encounters with rocks, dust, and branches.

It keeps your eyes focused by reducing dryness due to wind, squinting due to the sun or harsh lights and physical contact with particulates and bugs. While this isn’t exactly a “bicycle accessory” per say, it is very important and oft-overlooked. I frequently ride with clear lenses at night because there are times when bugs get thick or the wind picks up and dust gets blown around. Surprisingly, cycling specific glasses can be very inexpensive these days, but the world of biking has lots of fancy options too, some frames that even offer swappable lenses so you can go from clear to dark tinted. I think the key is to find some that are comfortable with your helmet (they shouldn’t collide with the front of the helmet and they should be too tight on your temples). Some people opt for goggles and I’ve heard others who use anti-fog products with their glasses during the winter as they often ride with scarfs around their necks.

We are delighted to tell you that these essentials will soon be released in our shop.
