Display/Controls -- Easy to Control
The bright color screen delivers clear readability. Short press the left "i" button to toggle odometer, trip distance, maximum speed and average speed. "+" button upgrades pedal assist level, "-" button downgrades it, and the dedicated light key switches front and rear lights on/off independently. The built-in horn outputs a crisp "beep" alert tone.
Walk Assist -- Get Rid of Cumbersome
Long press the minus button for several seconds to activate walk assist mode, confirmed by the corresponding icon on screen.
The display supports advanced parameter customization. Each setting operation is explained step-by-step in the official user manual.
Rough Terrain -- Incredible Smooth Ride
Equipped with front suspension fork, rear suspension and wide fat tires, we carried out bumpy road tests. The suspension filters out most road vibrations effectively, delivering a cushioned riding experience with minimal bump feedback to the rider.
Subsequent tests on grass and sand terrain also performed stably.

Pedal Assist -- Huge Boost
5 adjustable PAS levels were tested one by one:
PAS 1: ~8 MPH
PAS 2: ~10 MPH
PAS 3: ~14 MPH
PAS 4: ~20 MPH
PAS 5: peak speed around 25 MPH
The high-level pedal assist provides powerful extra propulsion for effortless riding.
Throttle Only -- Activates Smoothly
Tested pure throttle riding mode: speed gradually climbed to 25 MPH steadily, with linear and responsive acceleration output.
Brake Test -- Superior Braking Performance
Accelerate to full speed and trigger braking, using road parking lines as the reference marker for stopping distance. The hydraulic braking system delivers reliable and stable stopping power.

Uphill Test -- Powerful as Usual
Climbing a continuous gentle incline with pure throttle mode; the motor maintained stable power output with only minor speed drop, completing the uphill journey smoothly.

Downhill Test -- Maneuvered with Ease
Pure throttle downhill test: initial acceleration generates slight motor noise which fades quickly at stable speed. Cornering performance is stable with no wobble; downhill maximum speed hit 27 MPH, and speed control remained precise when slowing down for bends.
Final Thoughts
Assembly difficulty is low, supported by detailed printed instructions and tutorial videos. The whole vehicle has solid build quality and a substantial weight of 90 lbs.
Moped-style long wide seat delivers comfortable seating; only a tiny cosmetic scratch was found on the seat back (likely caused by shipping compression), while the matte paint finish on the frame has no flaws. Internal wiring is neatly arranged, with a front sleeve concealing most cables for a tidy appearance.
No abnormal rattling, vibration or loose part noises occurred during the entire test ride. Ergonomic handlebar height eliminates hunching posture, and the dual suspension + fat tire combination absorbs road bumps excellently.
The 750W Bafang motor supplies ample climbing power with only mild speed loss on inclines; motor noise is noticeable only on initial acceleration and stabilizes at cruising speed. PAS 5 and pure throttle both reach 25 MPH top speed. Actual range fluctuates between 22–26 miles depending on assist level, throttle usage and road conditions.
The hydraulic brake system matches the bike’s curb weight perfectly with dependable stopping force. The large color LCD screen is bright, intuitive and easy to operate; the oversized front headlight provides strong illumination for night riding.
Overall, the Eahora X9 balances comfort, power and stylish moped appearance. It’s a highly recommended option if you are shopping for a moped-style electric bike.
Comment
In your review you state the X9 has a 280lbs load capacity. This number is significantly less that the manufacturer specs listed on the X9 specs and guidance page which lists total payload at 330lbs. I ordered a bike this morning based on the higher number to accommodate a 2nd rider. I need clarification asap.
